What is Medicare and how does it work in 2025?
Medicare is a federal health insurance program for people age 65 and older, and for certain individuals with disabilities. In 2025, Medicare includes Part A (Hospital Insurance), Part B (Medical Insurance), Part C (Medicare Advantage Plans), and Part D (Prescription Drug Coverage). As a licensed Medicare agent, I help you understand how each part works and which plan fits your specific needs.

When should I enroll in Medicare?
Most people enroll when they turn 65 during their Initial Enrollment Period (IEP). If you’re still working and have employer coverage, your enrollment rules may be different. I help clients understand exactly when to enroll to avoid Medicare penalties and prevent gaps in coverage.
-
Do I need Medicare if I am still working at age 65?
It depends on your employer’s insurance plan. Some people benefit from delaying certain Medicare parts, while others should enroll immediately. I provide personalized guidance to help you decide whether to keep your employer’s insurance, or if beginning Medicare may be more a suitable option. Each Medicare receipient should be evaluted independently based on their individual circumstances.

What is the difference between Original Medicare and Medicare Advantage?
Original Medicare (Parts A & B): Nationwide coverage, no provider network, but doesn’t include dental, vision, or hearing.
Medicare Advantage (Part C): Offered by private insurers, includes everything in A & B plus extra benefits like prescription drugs, vision, dental, hearing, fitness, and more.
As your Medicare agent, I compare plans in your area to help you find the best coverage.
-
Does Medicare cover prescription drugs?
Yes — if you enroll in a Part D plan or choose a Medicare Advantage plan with drug coverage. I help clients compare drug plans based on your exact medications to make sure you’re not overpaying.
-
Can I change my Medicare plan?
Yes. You can switch plans during:
Medicare Annual Enrollment (Oct 15 – Dec 7)
Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment (Jan 1 – Mar 31)
Special Enrollment Periods (for qualifying life events)
I assist clients year-round to ensure they stay in the best plan as their needs change.
